Hello. I am Marcia Pereira.

I founded Ed Info Solutions to improve how data drives decisions in the K-12 education arena. Accurate data supports better decisions to promote effective teaching and learning.

My understanding of the K-12 education environment comes from 32+ years experience.  I have experienced education as a parent, teacher, and administrator.

I started as an English and studies teacher who re-trained to become a computer teacher.  Having taught every grade from kindergarten to high school and every level from general studies to advanced placement C++, I understand teacher data needs and grading.

My attention to detail stems from work experiences as a technology editor and writer for Data General field services and Pipe extrusion company and as a pharmacy technician. Accuracy was paramount in each of these positions.

As Technology/Data Coordinator for Grafton Public Schools I honed skills in the implementation and maintenance of hardware, software and connectivity. Utilizing student information systems, such as PowerSchool since 2001, I have extensive experience with state reporting, report formatting, scheduling, SIF, grade reporting, and data transfer.   In addition, I conduct teacher and staff training for PowerSchool, other software and data-related tasks such as state reporting.  My experience includes implementing PowerSchool Special Programs and PowerSchool Registration, utilizing ParkBench Visual PST for generating reports, integrating PowerSchool with multiple systems, including SwiftK12 and other contact software and Schoology.

As a founding member of the Massachusetts PowerSchool User Group, I currently hold the roles of secretary and meeting organizer/moderator.  My experience as consultant for technology systems and PowerSchool extends throughout New England and beyond. I enjoy working with PSUG Events as trainer and support for 7+ years at regional and national conferences.
